“Extensive knowledge of Autistic Burnout. I now have tools I can use again and again”

“Dr Alice has an extensive experience and knowledge in working with people in autistic burnout. She has provided me with a toolbox that I now can use in the future to keep a balance, or to rise out of burnout, in the case it happens again”

(Anonymous testimonial from past client)

As a late-realised, high-masking adult your Autistic Burnout may have defined you up until now. But it doesn’t have to define the rest of your life.

If you identify as someone who has been masking most of their life - only realising you are Autistic long into adulthood - its likely you’ve been doing huge amounts of mental gymnastics since your first day at school in order to “fit in” And the toll that takes? Burnout. Whether you’re heading towards your first or have had too many to count. Autistic Burnout is the price many of us pay for years of masking our true selves It can impact your work, causing you to take extended periods of sick leave for stress and exhaustion. It can deplete your day-to-day life, with little energy left over after completing social activities. And it can leave you blaming yourself, wondering why you can’t just be like everyone else.

Your Autism can be a source of many strengths. But only if you learn the right way to work with it.

Up until now, you’ve been working against it. And it’s probably been showing up in multiple areas.

If you relate to many of the below, I made Authenticity for you.
Do you...

  • Have lengthy periods of spirit-crushing exhaustion?
  • Get intensely irritated by the relentless whirring of the bathroom extractor fan?
  • Feel like you’re working twice as hard to do half as much as everyone else?
  • Feel drained after talking to the supermarket cashier?
  • Feel like your body is falling apart (literally or figuratively)?
  • Worry that, deep down, you are fundamentally flawed?
  • Fantasize about being seriously injured so you could lay in a hospital bed doing nothing?
  • Wish you had the energy to enjoy your family?
  • Dream of having the time to do things you actually want to do?

It’s no wonder you’ve been stuck in fight-or-flight mode your whole life

These are all classic signs of a lifetime masking, of being invalidated, of not having our needs met, and being exposed to high levels of stress for too long.

All of this gets to change when you take steps to not only understand your unique strengths and needs, but celebrate them.

What if you could rest in a way that actually replenished you, so you could wake up with the energy to enjoy your day, knowing exactly how to meet your needs, and feeling truly connected to yourself and others?

How empowering would it be to feel able to say no, or make adjustments to social events so that you can protect your energy? Getting so in touch with what your body needs to be healthy that you even feel inspired to pick up your craft/research projects again?

This is possible — and it’s what Authenticity was designed to help you achieve.

I’ve helped thousands of late-realised high-masking Autistic people break the cycle of Autistic Burnout.

The key difference between the people who thrive and those who end up back in Autistic Burnout is that the ones who thrive learn how to:

  • Know what they need and how to get it
  • Be wise, kind and strong with themselves
  • Celebrate their unique identity and aspirations

You can learn these skills too. That’s exactly what I want to teach you. You can get started right now (see below)

"Helped me to understand myself far better than I expected"
"Highly recommended for all with or without ASD diagnosis. This program came just in time last year when I had bad ASD burnout and I was off sick from work many times and twice off work for a long period. This program has helped me to understand myself far better than I expected—where I am struggling, why I am struggling, what's triggering me, what I should do, and how to manage my symptoms."

"I feel seen and heard in a way I never have before"
"I feel seen and heard in a way I never have before. I now realize that stress comes from areas in my life that I’ve never considered or recognized, and the strategies Alice suggests are hugely valuable. Signing up has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alice to anyone who is struggling with neurodiversity. It has made more difference to my life than I could have thought possible."

"12/10 Recommend"
"I started my journey by learning I was autistic. I discovered the existence of autistic burnout on my own and very little, if any, info on recovery. And then I found Alice. She’s taught me how to understand how I got here, how to cope with being here, and most importantly, how to advocate for myself and my needs in a world that expects constant productivity and endless demands. She’s so warm and validating while having insight that helps me recognize where my perspective isn’t helpful. 12/10 recommend Alice."

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I expect results?

This depends on so many factors: The unique stressors in you life, your ability to access help and support and concentrate on the course materials to name a few. Autistic Burnout recovery is often a long process, but most people start to use effective strategies and see some improvement in symptoms within 3 months when doing one module a month.

How much contact will I get with you?

I will check in to the online community at least once a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays so you can expect to get a text based response from me within one-two days during the week. I also have two office hours a week three weeks a month. During these times I will be online so we will be able to have a more back-and-forth conversation if you want one both to answer any questions and to provide you with support as you get clarity on what you need and how to get it.

How much time will it take?

Each module consists of between 4-7 10 minute videos and/or tasks. These have been designed to be as accessible as possible without sacrificing the depth of information required to make a meaningful change. You might choose to do one at a time or a few in one go. The fastest I would expect someone to work through it is 12 weeks, but this would be intense. Some times people have created the time, space and energy for this but often this is just not possible. For most people one module a month is manageable.

Am I too Burnout out to do a course on Autistic Burnout?

Possibly! This course is not designed for someone to do when they are deep in the acute phase of burnout. I recommend resting and trying to engage in soothing and regulating activities at this stage and waiting until you are able to concentrate for 10 minutes at a time before purchasing the course. When you have a little more energy and capacity you will be more able to engage and gently build a more sustainable life for yourself.

Should I go for the Monthly or Self-Paced option?

The benefit of the self paced option is that you have access to the complete course straight away so you can work through it as fast as you like. It also works out cheaper in the long term than buying the monthly option. The monthly option is good if you aren’t sure you want to buy the whole course and want smaller monthly payments with the option of cancelling any time. Should I buy this course or wait for the Group Coaching Programme? The Group Coaching Programme is currently on hold. When it re-launches I will offer a discount to the value of the course to people who have already bought the course. I have included many elements of group coaching in this programme, with weekly check ins, goal setting, office hours and co-working sessions for people who want more interaction.

I can’t afford either option, do you have a sliding scale or scholarship rate?

I’m sorry I’m not currently able to offer a reduced rate as this course includes live contact with me and an active community. Please see my website for my free resources.
